The nonpartisan commission works on critical statewide issues affecting women, including maternal and child health, access to healthcare, and human trafficking prevention. At Gradual Behavioral Health, Timko oversees clinical, operational, and business functions for the practice’s Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services across Georgia.
Her appointment reflects more than 25 years of leadership in behavioral health and neurodiversity services, dedicated to building high-performing teams and bridging gaps between families, healthcare providers, and local communities. Timko previously served as Consulting Project Director at the Emory University Autism Center and founded Parallel, a neurodiversity and transition-planning consultancy. She is the co-author of the bestselling book “The RoadMap Lab” and serves on the advisory boards of Georgia Tech Excel and the Frazer Center.
“I am grateful to Gov. Kemp for this appointment and honored to serve,” said Timko. “For 25 years I’ve worked alongside Georgia families, and so often the people holding everything together are women — mothers, grandmothers, therapists, and caregivers. Real progress comes from collaboration and community, and I look forward to helping advance the Commission’s mission of making Georgia the best place for women to live, work, and thrive.”
Outside of her professional practice, Timko is an avid outdoorswoman, classically trained musician, and traveler working toward visiting every continent. She lives in Marietta with her husband and two daughters.
